Fashion Finds-Target Style

While I did not intend for this to be an exclusively dresses post, that’s what I found myself picking as I was scrolling through Target’s new arrivals.  I was seeing so many cute dresses that I just decided to stick with that for today. I hate that I still can’t go and try these one for you all, but it is what it is!  I know most of us still aren’t going anywhere and likely aren’t dressing up too much, but these are super cute and at great prices. I just couldn’t resist.  I know that fall lines are going to be coming out soon, so this is a good opportunity to stock up for next summer when, hopefully, our situations are much improved. I can assure you that most of these dresses will still be on trend next summer.  There are just that adorable. Some of these would also work into fall by adding a denim jacket or cardigan. While I think they are ALL so cute, I have to say that I think the eyelet one is my favorite!

Looks for Less

Last night I was scrolling through Facebook and came across an ad for one of my favorite stores, The Loft Outlet, and I noticed that they had some cute new spring/summer items that I had not seen yet.  Well, that got me going down a rabbit hole when I decided to start making outfits.  You all know that is one of my favorite things to do.  Anyway, I ended up narrowing it down this morning into 12 complete looks (there were about 25).  I combined them with some cute shoes from Target and jewelry from Trades of Hope.  Now I want to buy them all, but I am trying to resist! They are all so adorable! Most of the piece from The Loft Outlet are on sale. Plus, you can get an additional 20% off the purchase of 4+ items with the code SMILES.  You can also get free shipping on all orders over $25. For every purchase of one of the Trades of Hope pieces using these links, 10 meals will be donated to a family in need in the US through Feeding America. If that isn’t a good excuse to shop, I don’t know what is!

Fashion Finds: Sandals

I know that none of us are really going anywhere these days and shoes are optional, but I thought a little shoe shopping wouldn’t hurt.  This has to end at some point, right? Anyway, I was going to pick some of my favorite sandals from various stores, but I made the mistake of looking at Target first and never got past there.  There were so many cute and affordable ones there that I just decided to share those for today.  I actually had to limit myself from posting every single sandal on their site because that would have been way too many.  Here are some of my favorite sandals at Target right now.  There are a few colors that are sold out online. Some say they are only temporarily unavailable so keep checking back if there is one you love or sign up to be notified by email when it is back in stock.  You also may be able to find it in the stores once we are all back to normal and can go shoe shopping for real.

Fashion Finds: Target

It is absolutely killing me that I cannot go to Target and do a try on session with all of the new spring clothes.  Browsing the racks at Target while filling my cart with cute pieces to try on is one of my most favorite things to do.  Unfortunately, I am not willing to risk my health or that of my family members even for Target.  It is a hard choice! Ha ha! Just kidding! For real though, I am going to be having some serious Target withdrawals by the time this is all over. For now, I will just have to live with perusing the website from my house instead.  It isn’t nearly as fun, though, especially when I see all the adorable pieces that they have added for spring.  I picked a few to share with you that I can’t wait to actually try on whenever this whole virus thing is over.  As you can see from my pics, ruffles and tie-dye/acid wash are really in for spring.  I love the way that the ruffles add a feminine touch to a simple t-shirt or dress.  So cute! You will also notice that I couldn’t decide on which color or print I liked best in a few of the items, so I figured I would just share all the ones I liked with you. Check out all the awesomeness that I found.

Fashion Finds: Target

I finally made it to Target, so I am no longer having Target withdrawals.  Haha! It is my favorite store after all.  I really wanted to try on some of the cute dresses I found online last week and, of course, a few other things too.  I didn’t try on all the dresses from last week, but I will share with you the ones that I liked best of what was available and in my size at my local store.  Please excuse the fact that it looks like I stuck my finger in an electric socket.  Everything I tried on was full of static and my hair was standing up all over the place! Some of the dresses were very clingy to me from all the static too, some may not look as full as they actually are.  The jeans and boots I am wearing are ones I already owned, but they are also from Target.

Fashion Finds: Target

I am excited! My Target (you know, my favorite store) is finally getting a makeover and it’s amazing!!! It isn’t done, but it already has so many improvements! My favorite improvement so far is the dressing room.  They finally have the lighted mirrors and more space so that my dressing room selfies are so much clearer! Yay! The only drawback it the glare it leaves on my glasses.  I didn’t realize how bad it was until I got home and started editing the pictures. Oh well, maybe I will just take them off next time.  Anyway, I found so many cute things there to share with all of you! There was so much more, too, but I got tired of trying stuff on.  That only means that I will have to make another trip later on. Haha! Like I ever need an excuse to go to Target! If you haven’t followed me for very long, you will quickly learn that I love cold weather, sweaters, turtlenecks, cardigans, jackets, jeans, and boots! You will see most of those in these outfits. Strangely, several of the pieces I tried on are not available online yet.  However, you should be able to find them in stores so I included what brand they are. Check out all the cuteness I found on this trip.

Jeans/Tunic Sweatshirt

Jeans/Sherpa Hoodie (Universal Thread)

This cardigan is so soft and the picture doesn’t do it justice. It has small hints of pink and purple threads mixed in with the grey.

Sweater Dress

Sweater Dress/Jacket (OBSESSED!) (A New Day)

This jacket is a size too big on me, but I wanted to show you how cute it is.

Jeans/Top/Denim Jacket (Sherpa Lined)

How cute are all of these outfits? Happy Shopping!

Fashion Finds: Target

I follow a bunch of people on Instagram that post Target finds all the time.  I have been seeing some really cute things in their feeds, so I decided to head to my favorite store and see what I could find. Surprisingly, a lot of the pieces they had been posting were not at my Target, but I did find my own cute pieces that are perfect for this time of year when the cooler fall temps start creeping in. There were tons of cute cardigans that are perfect for layering during the cool mornings and evenings, and there were several cute dresses.  Animal print is huge again this season and it was all over the place.  I’ll do another post about just animal print coming up. Check out my finds.

Shirt (Green/Black)

Blouse (not available online)/Necklace

I think this dress is the perfect color for fall and would look adorable with a denim jacket. The website says that it is brown, but I think it is more of a burnt orange color. I will caution you, though, because the hook to hold the top together in front to keep from showing everyone your business is not very well made.  It can open very easily, which is not really great for bustier ladies!

I absolutely adored this dress.  However, it was a bit short on me for my comfort level. I considered purchasing it in a smaller size for my teen, but I highly doubt she would wear it.  On the other hand, my husband says that it looks like I stepped out of the Flintstones cartoon, so there’s that. I still think it is really cute!

Cardigan/Long Sleeve T-shirt/Necklace

Oversized Waffle Cardigan/Long Sleeve T-shirt/Necklace

This cardigan is designed to be oversized.  However, I am wearing the M/L in this picture, but I think if I were to buy it, I would go with an XS/S. I felt like it was a little too oversized for me.  It comes in a few colors and is super soft and lightweight.

Dress (not available online)/Necklace

This dress is super soft and also comes in pink.  It would be great with a denim jacket or with a cute pair of leggings.

Dolman Sleeve Sweater/Jeans/Necklace

Leopard Sweater/Necklace

Head over to your local Target and check out these cute pieces and so much more to give your fall wardrobe a little update.

Fashion Finds: Target

I was beginning to have Target withdrawals because I haven’t been in a few weeks.  I’ve been too busy to get over there.  Anyway, I made it over to check out what new things they have. They still have their bathing suit section out, but they are beginning to get in a few fall pieces as well.  I have a variety of things to show you that I loved and a couple that I didn’t love that much on me but thought some of you might like.  One thing that I did discover is that animal print is still in, which is happy news for me since I love it so much.  It was everywhere in shoes, clothes, and accessories.  Last year it was all about the leopard print.  While that is still super popular, I also saw a lot of snakeskin, zebra, cheetah, and tortoise shell prints.  I will write about other fall trends I am seeing in the coming weeks.  For some reason, many of these pieces are not available online, but they are available in the stores. Sorry about that! Here is what’s new at Target. Please disregard the choice of shoes with these outfits. Obviously I chose the wrong ones to wear for trying clothes on.

This super comfortable tank dress was a winner for me simply because it has pockets.  I wanted to show you one way that you could subtly add in a little animal print with this dress just by switching out the belt with a leopard printed one.

Dress (available only in stores)

While I didn’t love this style of dress on me, I know that I have some readers that would love this more conservative way of adding in animal print.

Dress (available only in stores)

I really didn’t think I was going to like this simple dress when I picked it up, but I actually ended up loving it when I got it on.

Dress (available only in stores)

This is another one that I did not love on me, but I know that some of you love a good shirt dress. It’s cute, but it’s just not my style. I would probably consider it if I was still teaching and needed to dress up every day. I just don’t think I would wear it now.   I may even change up the belt with a solid black one to give it some more contrast and to tone down the print.

Top (available only in stores)

Jump Suit (only available in stores)

I am absolutely in love with this jumper! It is so cute!

This cute little dress can be worn now and in the fall with the simple addition of a jean jacket or cardigan.

Sweatshirt/Jeans (only available in stores)

I’m obsessed with this boat-neck top!

There was just so much goodness and so much animal print! I had a hard time resisting it all! Head over to Target, get your shop on, and maybe unlock your inner animal.

Fashion Finds: Target

I am getting a late start today. I had a bunch of stuff to take care of this morning before I could sit down and focus on this post.  We have had a crazy few days with so many things going on.  My youngest had a two-day cheer competition over the weekend where she and her team rocked it and are the new BATC National Champions! It was insane! I lost my voice from screaming and cheering so much.  As I have said before, we are still getting used to the whole cheer world as it is very different than the gymnastics world that we have been in for years.  The 2.5 minutes that they are up there performing is so nerve wracking and exciting at the same time. Anyway, that took up all of my weekend so I feel like I am way behind on everything now.  The laundry has really piled up! Then you have the whole dumb daylight savings thrown in the mix, and I feel like I am going to be playing catch-up all week long. Oh well, it is what it is, I guess!

Today I have some new cute outfits that I found for you at Target.  Even though we had snow last week and it’s still cold here, I figured it was time for me to check out the spring/summer pieces that are out in all the stores. I tried on a ton of things and found some really cute pieces and some pieces that looked way cuter on the hanger than on me. I even tried on a couple of bathing suits! Gasp! I know! My pale self was not bathing suit ready for sure! Needless to say, I will NOT be showing you pictures of that! LOL! If you are looking for a bathing suit, though, they do have some cute ones. I know the dressing room ladies are getting tired of me. I try on so many things, and I try to put them all back so they don’t have to. They still have to count how many pieces I have each time. Oh well! Check out some of my favorite pieces that I found.

I LOVE this dress! It can pretty much be worn year round.  Adding a red scarf with tights and booties would be so adorable for the colder days or adding a statement necklace in turquoise or yellow would be cute for the spring with some wedges.

I am still on the fence about this one.  I love a cute romper/jumpsuit, but I’m not sure if the flowers are a little too overpowering for me.  I would not normally wear a pattern quite this bold, but I kind of like it. I do like the fit of this, too. The legs are a little long so I would definitely have to wear a heeled wedge with it.  I think I could probably have gone down a size in this as well.

Ok, I am obsessed with this skirt! I love wearing high-waist skirts like this with a shirt tucked in because it defines the smallest part of my body.  It has an elastic waist that can be tightened with the bow on the side.  It has pockets, and it’s super comfortable.  I LOVE it! I am wearing a medium, but I think I could wear a small in this as well because I had to pull the ribbon a good bit to make it tight.  I think the sizing is very flexible, though. You can’t tell in this picture, but the skirt drops just below my knees.

There were so many other cute things there that I wanted to try on, but I ran out of time.  If you have the chance, go to Target! You know it is my favorite store, and it never disappoints.  As I was perusing the bathing suits, I also saw some cover-ups that were adorable.  They have tons of shorts too in lots of different colors. There is just so much goodness! Go check it out!
