I am sad to say that I didn’t get my Friday Favorites post up last week, but it was for a good reason! My oldest was competing in her first high school state championship meet all day Friday and her team won!!! They are State Champions for the second year in a row! They blew the completion away, but it was still a nail biter for the parents! Man those things are stressful for all of us watching in the stands trying to calculate the scores from all the other schools and make sure we stayed on top after each event. I think all of the moms were holding their breaths as each one of our girls got up to compete. Then we turned around and did the same thing the next day for the individual state championships. My daughter competed on bars on Saturday. It wasn’t her best performance by far with a fall (she never falls on bars), but, in her defense, they were all thoroughly exhausted after Friday. I am proud of her for giving it her best effort! She was bummed, but I think most of it was just pure exhaustion.
Anyway, on to the topic of today….a peek in my closet. I have had really good responses and feedback from when I did these posts in the past so I will try to do them one or two times a month. As I have said before, many of the things in my closet are things that I have had for a long time and are no longer available for purchase. I always try to find something similar for you, but the point of these posts is for you to get inspiration to put together outfits from things you already have in your closet. You don’t need to copy my exact outfit. Just be inspired. Some of the pieces I have shown before when I have done my selfie shots in the dressing rooms of my favorite stores. You can see how I put those pieces together in an outfit.
