It is beginning to look like Christmas at my house. You guys know that I wanted to decorate early this year, but it just didn’t happen. The tree finally went up yesterday and the girls decorated it last night. Now I just have to get everything else out and up. I hope you all had a nice, relaxing Thanksgiving full of family, friends, and good food. We enjoyed a nice, quiet Thanksgiving as a family of four at home this year. We typically travel to see family but decided this year that we weren’t up to fighting all the traffic to get back home. While I did miss all of our family at home and the traditional shopping trip with my mom and sister, I will say that it was kind of nice to spend time with just the 4 of us.
I don’t know if you all kept up with me on Facebook and Instagram last week, but I posted my Black Friday shopping escapades on my stories. I decided to begin my trek on Thursday evening. I know! Some of you think it is crazy that the shopping begins on Thanksgiving Day now, and I used to feel that way too. I think I have changed my mind after this year. Unfortunately, because of where I live, the stores are all spread out in different areas of town. To be the most efficient, I decided to hit one side on Thursday night to get it all done and then the other side on Friday morning. I actually had planned to only go to Old Navy and Kohl’s on Thursday, but the experience was so pleasant that, I decided to hit Bath and Body Works and Target as well. It was not nearly as crowded as it typically is when I go Black Friday shopping on Fridays. I didn’t have to wait in line at Old Navy or Bath and Body Works at all. There were definitely more people in Kohl’s but even that wait in line was only about 10 minutes. I hit Target last and it was eerily quiet there. There was hardly anyone shopping. However, I could tell that they had a rush earlier in the evening because there were several empty shelves and it was kind of a mess everywhere else. I was able to get all of the things that I wanted so it didn’t bother me. I headed out to shop around 6:00 PM and was back home by around 11:00 PM. Since I got so much done Thursday night, I decided not to get up at the crack of dawn on Friday. Nothing that I had left on my list was a door buster or an item that I feared would sell out. I headed out around 8:30 and hit up Walmart and another Target (Hey, it’s my favorite store! What can I say?). Neither one was crazy busy and the lines were great. After that I did a little online shopping. I am happy to report that I’m done with my Christmas shopping except for a couple of people who I have no clue what to get. Overall, I would say that this year’s Black Friday shopping was a success!
I got so many great items at amazing prices. I wanted to show you my top 10 steals and deals that I got for myself while out shopping. With today being Cyber Monday, most of these things are still on sale, and I thought you might want to snag them for yourself. I am sure most of these things will make an appearance on the blog at another date put together in an outfit, so stay tuned. Old Navy is still doing 50% off everything in the store today online. Bath and Body Works is also having a Cyber Monday Sale. The entire store is 40% off online only. Belk has free shipping today on all orders and an extra 30% off of many regular and sale priced items through tomorrow with the code CYBERSALE30. Target is offering 15% off all orders at Target.com. Hurry before all of these things sell out or the deals are over!
1. Pink Bomber Jacket $25.05 (Cyber Monday Deal)
I have had my eye on this jacket for a couple of weeks. I saw it online but was hesitant to order it without trying it on and seeing what it looked like on me. Boy was I happy when I got to Old Navy and saw it on the clearance rack. It is adorable on and I cannot wait to wear it. It’s silky on the inside and a warm, soft, felt-like material on the outside. Plus it is this great rosey pink color.
2. High Rise Ponte-Knit Stevie Pants Leopard Print $20.05 (Cyber Monday Deal)
These pants were an unexpected find while shopping at Old Navy. I had planned to get a pink velvet pair, which I did get as well, but I saw these next to them and fell in love. They are so cute on and can be dressed up for the holidays or work and dressed down for any occasion. They fit like leggings with an elastic waistband and are sooo cute! They are also available in a polka dot pattern. The actual print on the pants is a velvet material.
3. Ankle Booties $20.06 (Cyber Monday Deal)
I did go into Old Navy looking for these cute boots, and they did not disappoint. There are several colors available, but I got the Dark Taupe. They fit great and are comfortable to wear.
4. Romper $20.06 (Cyber Monday Deal)
This was another unexpected find at Old Navy. I have never really been a huge romper fan. I do have a couple but overall, I don’t usually like the fit on me. I am very long-waisted and rompers sometimes just don’t fit me like they should. On a whim, I decided to try this one on for the fun of it. You guys, it is so cute on and it fit me perfectly. I’m not sure that I will get much wear out of it now as it is a thin material and short sleeve, but I will definitely be rocking it in the spring and summer!
5. Burgundy Tote with Goodies
Unfortunately, I do not believe that this tote of goodies is still available, but I wanted to show it to you as motivation to get out there and shop the Black Friday sales next year. Every year, Bath and Body Works has some sort of bag that you can purchase for $30 if you spend $30 on other products. The bag is typically filled with products worth around $125. I have taken advantage of this deal every year for several years now. On Black Friday, they always have the “Buy 3, Get 3 Free” deal. If you take advantage of this deal, you will hit your $30 and can then get the special bag of goodies for only $30. To me, that deal is too good to pass up. I stock up on all my favorites for the entire year and then get a cute tote bag too. Every year, the bag gets cuter and cuter. Last year’s bag was a big rose gold glitter tote that I use all the time and love. I know this one will be the same. As you can see, the products that came in this year’s bag are just as awesome as the bag. It has a 3 wick candle, body spray, body wash, and more. If you don’t like any of the scents that you get in the bag, they will typically let you trade it in for a different scent on another day, which is awesome! You could also give it as a gift if you don’t want to go to the trouble of exchanging it. These products make great teacher gifts or stocking stuffers. I have to say, though. This year’s spread was really good. There isn’t a scent in there that I don’t love.
6. Nine West Levona Crossbody $29.50 (Cyber Monday Deal)
I think I mentioned in my Black Friday post last week that I usually love to shop at Belk on Black Friday. Well, there is no Belk anywhere near me so I had to do a little online shopping to get my Belk fix. To my surprise, they actually started their door buster Black Friday sales about a week early. I was able to snag this really cute crossbody purse for only $29.50, and it is still on sale for that price today! What? Go grab it because I don’t know how long it will be on sale. It also comes in black, olive, and pink.
7. Rampage Ivenn Riding Boots $19.99 (Cyber Monday Deal)
One of my favorite things to get at Belk on Black Friday is shoes, especially boots, because their sale is always so good. This year was no different. I actually scored 3 pairs of boots for the low price of $19.99 each. That is unheard of for tall boots! Guess what? They are still on sale for the same price today through tomorrow! These are my favorite ones of the 3 that I ordered, but you can check out the others here and here.
8. Time and Tru Hammered Textured Tri Tone Necklace $7
This piece is unfortunately sold out online at $4, but it is still available in stores for $7. You guys, this is from Walmart!!! I’m not kidding! It’s very pretty, looks great on, and you can’t beat that price.
9. Wool Duffel Coat $55.24 (Cyber Monday Deal)
This coat is so cute and super warm. It comes in three colors (red, black, and tan). I was so tempted to get it in red because it is so cute. However, I decided to be practical and get it in tan since it would go with more things. Seriously, though, how cute is the red one? I hope I don’t regret not getting it!
10. Maya Wallet $26.00 (Cyber Monday Deal)
A friend recently introduced me to a company called Trades of Hope that I hope to feature on the blog one day soon.
